Singer Takes Next Step With Video
The Mississauga News
The cameras will be rolling when Mississauga singer Basia Lyjak performs at the El Mocambo in Toronto this Friday.
The vocalist has arranged for cinematographer John Holosko to film her performance. Although Lyjak's management is unsure of what will ultimately happen with the footage, they said the shoot will likely be turned into a music video or DVD.
At the concert, Lyjak will be joined by special guests Morning Electric and Paije. Lyjak and her band, guitarist Ron Bechard, bassist Dave Carreiro (who will be absent from the show) and drummer Jeff Zurba, hit the stage at 11 p.m.
The singer is set to release her second EP, called Writings On The Wall. Several tracks off the album, including Plastic, Stuttering and Bye Bye, can be heard by visiting www.myspace.com/basialyjak.
It's a follow-up to a self-titled EP released in 2002. Show time is 9 p.m. Tickets cost $5.
