Happy holdiays! BasiaLyjak.com hopes everyone had a great December, filled with happy celebration of all the holidays! As we approach the new year, we're gearing up to make it huge in every way possible -- more music, more shows and lots more exciting news to share with you all.

As a kick off to this fantastic new year, we invite everyone to join us at Lee's Palace on Saturday, January 5th, 2008 with Sin Dealer (Basia's guitarist, Ron's, other band), and Frankie Whyte and the Dead Idols! This show will be huge, with Basia as the headliner, so we hope to see everyone out!

The final nominations for the IOMAs have been announced, with Basia leading in several categories:

Best Artist, Best Female Solo Artist, Best Songwriter, Best Female Vocal, Best Guitar Player (Andrew Lauzon), Best Song (Bye Bye), Best Album (Writings on the Wall), Best Producer (Andrew Lauzon, Writings on the Wall), Best CD Photography (Geoff McLean, Writings on the Wall), Best Photographer (Ron Boudreau, Writings on the Wall), Best Artist Press Kit, Best Artist Website, IOM Artist of the Year

"Stuttering" is now available for download as a ringtone on MyxerTones.com! It's free and all you need is to create an account to have access to tons of songs! Text messaging and internet are necessary for about a minute so that you can download the file to your phone. Check it out, it sounds fantastic!

Also check Basia out on GarageBand.com; "Writings on the Wall will soon be available for sale there and through CD Baby.com!

There's been a slight change to Lee's Palace gig on January 5th: it now features Basia as headliner, along with Frankie Whyte and the Dead Idols and Sin Dealer. Cover is $7.

We had a blast in Peterborough, playing for HUNDREDS of new faces! Thanks to all those April Wine fans for giving us such a great response and for making the show an amazing one! The Junction was a great venue to play -- hope to go back soon!


November 29th, 2007:

Reminder that tonight is Basia's opening slot for April Wine! Check it out if you're near Peterborough or feel like making the trip out -- it should be an amazing show! Full details are available on the tour page!


November 21st, 2007:

Great news! Basia has been asked to play the opening slot for April Wine next week in Peterborough! Sharing a stage with such a talented, enduring band will be pretty inspirational!

More details for the Janurary 5th Lee's Palace gig have also been announced: Basia will be headlining the night, along with Frankie Whyte and the Dead Idols, Sin Dealer and ADA!

The site has been getting hits from all over the world, and it's really exciting to see people from different countries popping up every day.

Hope everyone had a great Hallowe'en! Basia played a fantastic show at the Horseshoe Tavern last night - thanks to everyone who came out! She also debuted her new single, Don't Talk, which she wrote with Kyle Riabko and recorded with producer Brian Moncarz last week, so check back here to hear the final mix in a few weeks!
