TORONTO, ON. - November 27, 2007 - We thought we were done for the year, after a whirlwind month of shows and recording a new track with producer/engineer, Brian Moncarz (Pilate), bur when April Wine comes knocking, Basia's ready to start rocking!
Days after a gig at the Horseshoe Tavern and a successful slot at "Rock For The Troops," a Remembrance Day charity event at Grand Prix Kartways, Basia Lyjak has been asked to play the opening slot for legendary rockers, April Wine! The gig takes place at The Junction in Peterborough, tickets are $20 and can be purchased by calling 1-866-9-GET-TIX, and the event is almost sold out!
Two shows are also lined up for the new year! Basia is set to headline Lee's Palace on January 5, 2008, joined by Sin Dealer and Frankie Whyte and the Dead Idols! Basia will also play her first gig at the newly reopened Rock N' Roll Heaven on January 24, opening for The Mudmen!
In addition to the upcoming shows, Basia's new single, "Don't Talk," written with Kyle Riabko, has been recorded and mixed at Whirlwind Sound Studios with Pilate producer/engineer, Brain Moncarz. Keep an eye out for its release soon!
